The Environment Agency is a public body that  works to create better places for people and wildlife, and support sustainable development.  They also manage the river levels, provide flood-warning services and build flood defences. In addition the EA also monitors the flow on the river and issues Yellow & Red board safety warnings.

If you use the river (Thames) to SUP, row, kayak/canoe or use any type of pleasure boat you should have a license from the EA.  Other waterways may also require you to have a license - see Go Paddling for more details.

All of just SUP uk boards and kayaks have licenses for use on the Thames.

In addition, you can join local paddle communities or clubs and find reviews on locations and paddle operators like us. And it's global!
