The SEA LION SUP MOT is all about prolonging the life of your board and comes free with all new SEA LION board purchases from Jan 2022!
The MOT is redeemable up to 18 months after the date you bought your board and here's what's included...
1. DEEP CLEAN
Your board will probably not look brand new after a year of use and therefore needs some TLC!
Your board will be scrubbed and cleaned with a specially formulated sup cleaning product by August Race so it looks brand spanking new!
Remember to make sure that your board in bone dry before putting it away for storage for any extended period (eg. over the winter).
2. UV PROTECTIVE COATING
All Sea Lions come with a UV coating, but UV can be extremely damaging, to us and to your paddleboard.
Protecting your board from those nasty UV rays is key to the longevity of your boards' appearance, keeping it looking fresh!
A wax UV protective layer designed by marine experts August Race is applied to your board adding up to 8 months of extra UV protection
3. VALVE SERVICE
Cleaning and looking after your board is a normal routine for a SUPer, but after lots of use and visits to the beach or river sand and grit can build up inside your valve which could cause leaks and reduce the valve operation.
Within the service, your valve will be fully removed, serviced, cleaned and refitted to industry standards.*
*do not try this at home as it will invalidate your warranty, and that is why it is included in the service and why Sea Lion will take care of it!
4. PRESSURE TEST
Your board will be inflated to 20 psi and left inflated for 48 hours to test the pressure doesn’t drop.
Your board during this time will be fully checked over to ensure the integrity of the valve, and all the seams and joins.
5. MOT PASS CERTIFICATE
After 48 hours, your board will be deflated, signed off with a certificate and sent back to you.
6. PICK UP & DROP OFF
Sea Lion will arrange the collection and
drop off of your beloved board to and
from the "MOT" centre via currier.
All you need to do is pack the board up!**
