The brand new SUPhaul is a 3-in-1 self-rescue strap designed to help the paddle boarder get back on to their inflatable board by using a webbing foot loop at the rear of the board.
The SUPhaul uses the structural rigidity of the SUP rather than anchoring to a fixed point such as a carry handle or D-ring. This ensures that the SUPhaul will not compromise the boards warranty.
In addition to aiding self-rescue it can also be adjusted for use as a shoulder strap to carry the board as well as a board-tie when an iSUP (inflatable) is deflated.
All the materials and components have been sourced, tested and rated for their breaking strains and UV resistance. The maximum rider weight is recommended at 160kg/25stone.
Correct fitting and use the iSUP will require a D-ring mounted on the underside of the nose of the board. Most iSUPS should have a D-ring in this position and if not one can be purchased separately and glued in position using the glue supplied in the board’s repair kit.
