LEARN TO PADDLE BOARD

We offer structured, instructor led BEGINNER LESSONS for those who have never paddleboarded  before and IMPROVER LESSONS*  for those who can already SUP and want get more out of their  time on the water.  Both lesson types are bookable as groups or as a one-to-one with the instructor.

Paddle board lessons are run on Sunday mornings from 10am - 12pm.  Please click the lesson type below to check for the

most up to date availability.

Please note: Group lessons need a minimum of 2 people. Individual tickets can be purchased but a lesson may be moved if not enough places have been booked.

We are also able to offer lessons on a local lake which offers a different SUP experience as the water is static (no current) compared to the river. This is ideal when the river current is too strong.

If your preferred time or date of the lessons is not available please contact us and we will try to accommodate you if we can.

*Improver Lessons - contact us directly.

Please arrive appx 20 minutes before the start time and on booking please look for a confirmation email that contains important information including Consent & Medical Declaration Form.

All participants must be able to swim 25m.

When booking we will also ask you for the approximate weight of each participant. This is to ensure we have the right type of board for you so you get the most out of your session.

"Nick was very reassuring and gave me confidence right from the off.  Instruction was given both off and then on the water and Nick watched over me every step of the way and made the lesson great fun.  My technique improved immensely and I cant' wait to get back out on the water!"

LASTLY... A WORD ON FALLING IN.

IMG-6217_edited.jpg

In our experience around 20% of beginners fall in, which is not that many.

Whether you fall in or not depends on a variety of factors but rest assured if you do

end up going for dip, all that happens is you get wet, have a laugh and then dry off.

Falling in is not failing.  Falling in (or off) is an important part of learning and can apply

to any new sport This is the moment where we really begin to learn and therefore improve.

We need to fall in once in a while - it shows we're trying and pushing our boundaries!

Nothing wrong with falling in - happens to us all!

(...just try to hang on to the paddle!)

To make falling in more 'comfortable', especially for those booking early or late season

lessons (when the water is less warm), we have Men's and Women's wetsuits

available to hire as an optional extra.

The wetsuits are £7 each per person and are available on a first come first served basis.
